Dirty Dogs

Record Mirror

July 1974

TWO framed fibreboard reproductions of the cover of David Bowie’s album “Diamond Dogs” were snatched – make that dog-napped – from bolted mountings outside Tower Records shop on our Sunset Strip. It happened sometime over the weekend and under “mysterious circumstances,” or so claims the shop’s manager. “Diamond Dogs,” painted by Los Angeles artist Ray Smith on two 6×10 foot panels, were exact copies of the album cover.
